CRYSTAL MATASK
Crystal Elaine Matask, age 65, of Proctor, WV, formerly of Weirton, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Sistersville General Hospital in Sistersville, WV.
She was born on June 3, 1960, in New Martinsville, WV, the daughter of Otis F. Rush Sr. and Glenda M. Rush (O’Neil).
Crystal was a Christian by faith. She was a dog groomer and a proud “home goddess.” She had an incredible artistic spirit and enjoyed gardening, photography, music, singing, drawing, painting, crafts, and spending time with her beloved family and furry friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, David A. Cline II (Erica); grandparents, Lucy and John Rush, Lindsey O’Neil and Georgia O’Neil; uncle, Albert O’Neil; mother-in-law, Alice Matask; father-in-law, Rudolph Matask; best friend, Judy Cross, and beloved dogs Boots and Grizz Bear and longtime cat companion Flower.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Randolph F. Matask of Proctor, WV; a brother, Otis F. Rush Jr. of Proctor, WV; a sister, Darla K. Rush of New Cumberland, WV; niece, Meika L. North of Bridgeport, OH, two nephews, Preston Rush-Hollingsworth of Ruckersville, VA, and Bryant D McClain of New Cumberland, WV; grandsons, David Cline III and Ryan Cline; granddaughter, Bailey Cline; great- granddaughter, Myla Cline of Weirton, WV; brother-in-law, Mike Matask; seven great-nieces, two great-nephews; and beloved dogs Sir Smudge, Lijah, and cat Molly.
