Patricia “Patti” Polen, 71, of Steubenville died Monday, May 4, 2026 at UPMC Shadyside. She was born November 26, 1954 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Turner and Mary Warrell Loy. Patti is also preceded in death by brother, Thomas Loy and her sister Deborah Wood.
Patti was the owner and operator of Loy’s Overhead Door Sales with her husband. She also previously worked at Riesbecks as a cashier. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church and a 1973 graduate of JU High School.
Surviving are her husband Charles Polen, whom she married March 23, 1974; son Scott Polen (Lisa) of Steubenville; daughter Amy (Ed) Stimpert of Bloomingdale; niece Christina Courtright; brother John (Shelia) Loy of Wellsville; sister Tammy (Benny) Bashline of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Lexi, Lucian, Ethan, Andrew, Hailey; great-grandchildren, Jiraiya, Ozzy and Kiyah.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 11, from 2-6 PM at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at the funeral home at 10 AM, Pastor Dee Kovach will officiate. Burial will follow in Center Chapel Cemetery.
