Ruth Kerr
Ruth Kerr, 90, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on June 8, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on October 31, 1935 in Steubenville, Ohio the daughter of the late Ray & Olive Gwynn Penn. Ruth was a graduate of Mingo High School and attended Franciscan University of Steubenville. She was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and a school teacher for 35 years in the Steubenville City School District.
Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband William T. Kerr on August 20, 2024; daughter Stacy Kerr Zimish and three brothers Charles, Earl & Lloyd Penn. Ruth is survived by her children Tom (Shannon) Kerr & Lisa (James) Vodvarka; eight grandchildren James Michael & Kristina (Dakota) Vodvarka, Kelsey (John) Moore, Mary (Robbie) Agresta, Zachary, Allie & Zane Zimish and Tanner Kerr; two great-grandchildren Gianna Vodvarka & Lincoln Stone.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Private service with Rev. William Westling. Burial at Union Cemetery.
