Elizabeth "Betty Rock" Utzler, 87, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence on August 14, 2026.
Betty was born May 18, 1939, in Toronto, Ohio, the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Chalfa) Rock. She was a 1957 graduate of Toronto High School.
Betty was a longtime member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Steubenville, Ohio, prior to moving to Florida to live with her daughter, Debra. She worked for Citizens Bank of Steubenville for many years as a bank teller then a bank manager before retiring.
Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She cherished spending time with her family and friends and loved her grandchildren tremendously. They were truly the light of her life.
Everyone who knew Betty would describe her as a warm, loving, and a lovely lady who brought kindness and love to those around her.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Rock; her beloved husband, Thomas M. Utzler; her daughter, Cindy Utzler Hedges; her son, Bill Utzler; her sister, Mary Slavik, of Michigan, her sister, Ann Barlas of Toronto, Ohio and her brother, Tom Rock of Dayton, Ohio.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Utzler of Delray Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, William T. Utzler of Ohio, Nicole M. Edelman of Florida, and Dayton T. Hedges of Florida; and many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.
At Betty's wishes, no funeral services will be held. A private celebration of her life with her immediate family will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church in Steubenville, Ohio.
Betty will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
