JoAnn Griffith, 89, of Steubenville died Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Valley Hospice. She was born July 30, 1937 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Fox. She is preceded in death by her husband, George G. Griffith, one son Eric V. Griffith and a brother James Fox.
JoAnn had been a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and its choir for over 43 years. JoAnn had also been a member of the Steubenville Players and the Ohio Valley Chorale Society.
Surviving are one son, Gregg G. Griffith of Steubenville; two daughters, Teresa (Tom) Ossio of Wintersville and Michelle (Don) Bille of Tippecanoe, OH; daughter-in-law Terri Griffith; three sisters, Joyce Thompson, Margaret Petchal, and Sue Lanham; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Rachel, Jessica, and Joseph; and 4 great-grand- children, Annabella, Henry, Lillian, and Lyla.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
