DONALD SPEECE, SR.
Donald Speece Sr., 90, of Weirton, passed away on Friday, September, 18, 2026. He was born on November 15,1935, the son of the late, Lamon and Dolly (Brewer) Speece. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Patricia (McAteer) Speece, a son, Ron Speece, all his siblings, Walter, Brady, Burl, Darrell, Rachael, Dorothy, and Shirley.
Don was retired from Weirton Steel, belonged to the Weirton Steel 25 year Club, MOPAR Car Club, and was an avid old car buff. Don and wife Pat, enjoyed traveling across the United States.
He is survived by two sons, Don Speece Jr., and John (Teresa) Speece, all of Weirton; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Michael, Jennifer (Ron) and Shawn, and two great-grandchildren, Tyson and Daynon. Also by a special caregiver, Angelica.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 3 p.m. to time of Funeral service at 6 pm, at the Nixon funeral Home of Newell. The family extends a sincere thank you Valley Hospice for all their care and kindness.
