Dolores Gloria Tortis, 94, of Galloway, New Jersey, formerly of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away on October 23, 2026.
She was born on April 7, 1932, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of Lawrence DeMayo and Elizabeth (Hornick) DeMayo.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Tortis, and her brother, John DeMayo.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy Foti; son-in-law, Frank Foti; grandson, Christian Foti, and his fiancée, Amy DeVirgilio; and great-grandson, Antonio.
Dolores was a 1951 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo and cards with her card club ladies, who were among her dearest friends.
Dolores was also an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Church.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home from 9 AM until the 11 AM Liturgy of the Word service.
Father Dennis Schuelkens, Jr. will preside.
Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton, West Virginia.
