KIMBERLY RAGER

Kimberly Rager

Kimberly Ann (Pugh) Rager, 74, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Kimberly was born on March 2, 1952, in New Kensington, PA. She was the daughter of the late Walter Pugh and Anna (Weller) Pugh.

Kimberly dedicated many years of her life to educating and caring for children through her work with the Brooke County School System as a Special Education Teacher until her retirement. Her patience, compassion, and dedication touched the lives of many students and families throughout her career.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Kimberly was an active and faithful member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ, where she enjoyed worship, fellowship, and being part of her church family.

Above everything else, Kimberly loved her family. Her three boys were the center of her world, and there was very little she would not do for them. She was a devoted and loving mother who was always there to offer encouragement, support, and, when needed, a little motherly advice.

Many will also remember Kimberly for enjoying the simple things that made her happy, especially settling in to watch her favorite television shows. She loved Dallas and was a devoted fan of the Chicago television series, rarely wanting to miss an episode. Whether watching one of her favorite shows or simply spending time with her family, Kimberly treasured the comforts of home and the people she loved most. In addition, Kim loved to laugh and to make sure everyone around did too. Her corny, playful personal brand of humor and her big, genuine laugh will be missed dearly.

Kimberly is survived by her three sons, Brad Rager of Wheeling, WV, Scott Rager and his companion, Danielle Welch, of Wellsburg, WV, and Andrew Rager of Wellsburg, WV; two siblings, David Pugh and his wife, Allison, of Kentucky, and Dianna Camilletti of Weirton, WV; in addition to extended family, church family, former students, and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, WV (304)527-1717, with Pastor Jay Yeager officiating.
