Joanna L. Controguerra, 91, of Steubenville died Friday, August 29, 2025 at Bolger Country Club Manor. She was born July 26, 1934 in Weirton. She is the daughter of the late Louis and Lucille Tassy Spano. Joanna is also preceded in death by her husband Orlando “Scottie”; two brothers Samuel and James Spano; sister Rose Kaminski. Joanna was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Doris Jean (Proffitt) DeLong, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 92. She was born on 8/8/1933 to Oscar and Mae Proffitt. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Bud”, a son-in-law, both parents, six brothers and two sisters. She enjoyed quilting and made beautiful quilts and blankets for her family, and she also enjoyed clogging and camping with her family. She was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ.
