Clara Z. “Babe” (Garcia) Kovarik, 100, of Rayland, OH, passed away Monday July 7, 2025, in the Country Club Manor in Steubenville, OH. Babe was born June 18, 1925, in Piney Fork, OH, daughter of the late Manuel and Bessie (DeWitt) Garcia. After graduation from Smithfield High School, Babe attended the Steubenville Business College. She was a homemaker who in her earlier years had worked at the Hub in Steubenville. She was born April 11, 1949, daughter of the late Harry and Hilda Myers. Along with her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Shuman; a daughter, Nannette; one brother, Charlie Myers; and three sisters, Dru Toland, Irene Trombetti, and Marge Myers.
