James D. Griffith of Wellsburg, WV passed away Tuesday, May 6th at Trinity West surrounded by his loving family. He worked at Weirton Steel for 37 years. He was truly an outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, boating and especially golfing with his son David. He also restored many cars and raced dirt bikes. He also enjoyed traveling with his family. David Michael Gossett was born in Akron, OH. in 1952 to parents James and Helen Gossett. He studied journalism at Ohio University where he was largely involved in the reporting of anti-war protests in the early 1970s. He then went on to work for many Ohio Valley news and multimedia agencies such as the Herald Star, WLIT-AM, and Weirton Daily Times.
