She was born July 11, 1936 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Willie and Goldie (Edge) Thompson. She was born July 24, 1920 in Hollidays Cove, WV, daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Stevens Michell. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Fred Michell, Richard Michell, Harry Michell, and Mildred VanHorn.
