John B. Wherry, 82, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home. John was born February 17, 1943, in Derry, PA, to the late Chauncey Wherry, Sr. and Edna (Wilkinson) Wherry. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Fowler) Wherry in 2012, and brothers, Chauncey Wherry, Jr and Fritz Wherry. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Jefferson Hills, PA. After graduation John enlisted in the US Army where he served in Japan during the Vietnam War era.
