A career of almost four decades at a single company or group isn't something heard of much these days, but our area should be grateful that Judy Raveaux showed such dedication through her work at CHANGE, Inc.
Following 39 years at the organization, Raveaux retired as the agency's chief executive officer at the end of 2021.
She originally joined CHANGE in 1983, shortly after the non-profit was formed by a group of local clergy, and has been serving as CEO since 1990.
Judy has been the steady hand as CHANGE grew from its original mission of aiding families affected by the layoffs at Weirton Steel to providing numerous services for residents of all ages, incomes and needs, not only in Weirton, but throughout the Northern Panhandle and Jefferson County in Ohio.
Today, CHANGE provides a federally qualified family medical care service, including family health, women's health, dental services and behavioral health services through three community health centers and 10 school-based health centers. It also offers domestic violence awareness programs, child advocacy, weatherization, supportive services for veterans and housing counseling.
We thank her for her constant and diligent work for the benefit of so many residents of the Tri-State Area throughout the years, and wish her well in her retirement.
