Food Truck Festival a success
To the Editor,
What a great day we had last Saturday at the Weirton Food Truck Festival! Despite the hot temperatures, our community came out and supported the class of 2020 at Weir High School and it’s very much appreciated.
There are so many people that had a part in the success of this event. We had over 70 volunteers at the event including students and parents that worked hard all day! Thank you to all of our sponsors, Brandon Palmeri and the Weirton Police Department, firefighters and EMT’s, all of the entertainers who volunteered their time, the guys we had in our dunk tank, Mountain Craft Productions for providing social media updates throughout the day, Weirton Rental for providing us an inflatable slide for the kids and extra tent for more shade, Giovanni’s for delivering us ice all day, Weirton Renaissance Corp for serving beer, the Hancock County Health Department, Ohio Valley Sound, our vendors, NC Sportz for donating our volunteer shirts, Top of WV for letting us use the venue, PS Marketing for working with us on advertising, and last but not least, the food truck owners and staff who worked all day in the heat serving some delicious food.
The day was a huge success and without all of these people, it would not have been possible. Keep a look out for details of next year’s event! Thank you.
