Trump not a friend of democracy

To the Editor,

If democracy ever needed a friend, it certainly is not President Trump.

Lowering taxes, enacting tariffs and deregulating many safety measures designed to protect our health.

Now we listen to a non-alcoholic president who should have a nip once in a while to chill out and quick mimicking a comic gone off the deep end with his disingenuous tweets.

Lowering taxes: When Newt Gingrich and Sean Hannity brag about how Newt and former president Bill Clinton balanced the budget in 1998 through 2002, no one asks what were the tax rates. Check it out for yourself. You will be surprised.

G.W. Bush and President Trump both concurred lowering taxes balloons the national budget to no end in sight.

Trump deregulates everything except military-style weapons and high-capacity magazines.

Trump on guns: Guns don’t kill. People do.

Do something, Mr. President.

I haven’t heard of any mass shooter killing 20 and wounding 30 more with a fishing pole.

As of now, Iran is not a threat to the United States. It has no nukes or method of delivery to reach the United States. Yet Russia, China, North Korea, with maniacal leaders, have weapons of mass destruction and relates to them as good old boys. We will see what happens.

The death of America. Fighting too many wars on too many fronts to go on killing and the threat of being killed has to end. Bring them home before the public revolts.

Remember Vietnam history, Mr. President.
