To the Editor,

On behalf of the Urban Mission, its staff and board of directors, I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to the Ohio Valley for the loving generosity it demonstrated toward the care of so many people throughout 2019.

“Love Works” was the Urban Mission’s theme for 2019, and time and time again, our communities provided a wonderful example of how love truly does work. For all those who prayed, donated time, financial gifts, food, resources, household items, coats and Christmas toys, thank you for providing some of the most basic needs for the most vulnerable members of our community. One tremendous example of how God worked through you is the opportunity the Urban Mission had to serve 1,189 children this Christmas season.

May God bless you as we enter into a new year — filled with new opportunities to serve and love and spread the good news of Jesus Christ!
