More boring rubbish

3 min read

To the Editor,

Trump is to blame. As evidenced by a resounding chorus of his detractors, whether from liberal Democrat politicos or their sycophants in the media, Trump is to blame for the spread of the coronavirus. And if liberal Democrats "trumpet" this claim, it must be true.

During the first weeks in January Trump did nothing to implement measures to slow its spread, but neither did anyone else. Trump merely quoted numbers comparing deaths caused by the coronavirus vs. the flu and called it a hoax. The liberal howled with rage--how can a man blithely assert such specious claims when facts yet remain unknown. You're right about this, liberals, but otherwise very wrong.

Who was it that restricted travel from China? If you said Trump you get an "A," you betcha you do. Let's look at the facts:

When impeachment proceedings were still in full swing in late January, Trump took measures to restrict travel from China, the birthplace of COVID-19, much to the chagrin of his detractors. Old Joe Biden called him a xenophobe for doing that. How dare he. And into February Pelosi was still too busy impeaching Trump--forget that virus.

Similarly, when Trump unilaterally announced restricted travel from Europe, howls escalated. "Why weren't European leaders consulted," liberals screeched.

How much time do you think it would have taken for the leaders of disparate factions to reach a consensus? Most likely a lot of pontification spewed during zombie-like proceedings on how awful this ban would be without a careful study.

The ramifications of delay are obvious, my friends. By taking matters into his own hands and by gaining valuable time, Trump pre-empted even greater exposure to COVID-19. Who knows how many more carriers of the virus were prevented entry because of Trump's timely action?

And how about that reporter raising Cain about political correctness when Trump referred to COVID-19 as the "Chinese virus." "This is racist." Good grief, liberals, please spare us kneejerk reaction, this low IQ humbug.

Who knows how this will end? Hopefully a cure will soon be discovered and COVID-19 will die an early death. Let's hope that $2 trillion relief package counts for a lot and not be just one big splurge.

Of one thing we can all be certain: Liberals will most certainly drag political gaming right up until the election as their last hope of defeating Trump, which they couldn't do with Mueller, Russia or Ukraine. More boring rubbish we must tediously endure.

Good luck, Old Joe Biden. And keep an eye on that Cuomo--people have been saying nice things about him.
