Postponed event stills helps TEAR Fund
To the Editor,
The 10th-annual Campbell-Dickinson 5K, the Noah Long Kid’s 1K and the St. Baldrick’s Shave Off scheduled for March 21 were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The events will be rescheduled in August or September.
The Campbell-Dickinson 5K Committee would like to thank businesses large and small, organizations, churches and individuals that donated to the fund raiser for the Teramana Cancer Center TEAR Fund and to the Toronto Coalition for Revitalization. Donations ranged from $50 to $5,000. The $5,000 donation came from wife Patricia and son David of William “Pat” Campbell, deceased, for whom the 5K is named. Also, Jenny Dickinson, a cancer survivor, in the last eight years has held a fundraiser called Jenny’s Journey. This year the event raised $8,585. She is the Dickinson in the Campbell-Dickinson
