To the Editor,
My name is Roy Ault. I wrote a weekly column in the Charlotte Sun in Florida for 33 years I am a graduate of Ohio State and was a coach in Ohio for 17 years.
I was a physical education major and was required to take every sport as an academic class. As a senior I took the track and field class. In that class was Glenn Davis, one of the greatest runners of all times. I had just graduated when Glenn won his first gold medal in the 1956 Olympics. Even though he was two classes behind me we became friends. I also have written nine books and currently am writing one about Glenn.
Glenn was born in Follansbee in 1935 and lived there until he was 15, when both parents passed away. I'm looking for anyone who knew him: A neighbor, friend, teacher, sibling, girlfriend, relative -- any one. I need your input to write my book. My address is 316. S. Mango St, Englewood, Fla., 34223.
