All Saints thanks community for support

To the Editor,

On Oct 1, 2021, All Saints Greek Orthodox Church held its 34th Weirton Greek Food Festival with amazing results attributed to both the hard work of its parishioners and to our patrons from the city of Weirton and surrounding communities.

This letter is to thank and acknowledge support from our residents and businesses who donated, ordered online, by phone or patronized our walk-up booths for this one-day mini fest.

Special thanks to Brooke Place Family Connections. Director Michael Smith and their wonderful girls who for four years now, have volunteered to keep our tables and trays tidy for our patrons.

Our All-Saints kitchen crew also prepared an extra 48 roasted chicken dinners and delivered them to the Friendship Room in Steubenville so residents could enjoy a good meal in the spirit of fellowship or as we say “philoxenia”.

All Saints will also continue its long tradition of distributing a portion of its profits to local non-profits who help feed, clothe, shelter, and offer security to those in need.

All Saints Greek festival could not be possible without the support of our entire business community and major sponsors which include Summers Enterprise LLC, Wine & Beverage Merchants of WV Inc., Law Offices of Dan Taylor & Dean Makricostas, Downtown Bakery of Steubenville, Frangakis Family Charitable Foundation, Gus’s Goodies, Mainstream Physical Therapy, Nik Kamarados CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM, Penn-Way Pharmacy, Stacie R. Fouty Court Reporting Services Inc., Ted’s Plaza Pharmacy, Theo Yianni’s Greek Restaurant, TJ Ameredes DDS & Matt Karnoupakis DDS, Belmontes Italian, The Coffee Bean, J. Austin Heating & Cooling, Mario’s Restaurant & DiCarlo’s Pizza and Tom’s Family Fun LLC.

In continuing with our holiday baking tradition, the All-Saints Ladies Philoptochos Society will be offering their annual Thanksgiving bake sale on Nov 19th. This is a pre-order event only. To pre-order online or by phone beginning Monday Oct 18th. Please go to church website at www.allstswwv.org or call 304-797-9884 between 9 am-2 pm M-F.

All Saints is proud and honored to celebrate its 104th year as a Greek Orthodox Christian Church right here in the heart of downtown Weirton. We can only continue our mission with the support of our fellow citizens, patrons, and friends. We are grateful and humbled for your support for all our events. With thanks.
