The City of Weirton has turned their back on this ongoing overgrowth.
Driving up Cove Road, you just cannot miss all the weeds and trees overgrowing the road. Marland Heights Road is another sore eye with limbs overgrowing the street lights and going up the hill. It's getting so hard to see.
The worst area by far is Route2 going to New Cumberland with actual trees falling into the power lines at the exit from Rilley Road to Route 2. Trees have overgrown power lines all along this stretch of highway. Next time traveling out of Weirton heading towards KingsCreek look at all trees overhanging the road.
Downtown Cove Road area, trees overgrown, the road in front of senior living towards Route 22. It's a shame how this looks.
