New year, new thoughts

2 min read

To the Editor,

Santa has already made his pit stop for milk and cookies. And the Times Square ball has dropped. Now, let's look at today…and tomorrow.

Garth Brooks sings about if tomorrow ever comes. Tomorrow will be here faster than we can blink en eye.

There's a saying:" don't worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow worry about it's self." Simple. But we often worry about everything. What is being said about us. The gossip rumors. The farfetched stories.

Yes, those farfetched stories that stretch the truth to the limit. Anything that we feel that is the truth,we take it in stride.

Honesty. Be honest about certain aspects as we start the New Year. We tend to wonder and tell stories. Eliminate hurting someone's feelings. Do something kind and considerate for others. Or do a kind gesture for that person.

Caring. Think of those less fortunate.

Extra clothes or coats in your closet. Give them to Goodwill, The Salvation Army, or the Steubenville Mission.

Sharing. Dropping of extra money in the Church collection box. Giving that extra change to others in need.

Change…will do you good. Let's change this year. The results are priceless.
