The Toronto Coalition for Revitalization would like to thank all who participated in the 2022 Pat Campbell St. Patrick 5K Run Walk and Kid's 1K in Toronto as a fundraiser for the Trinity Foundation-Cancer T.E.A.R. Fund and the Toronto Coalition on March 19.
The St. Patrick's 5k event raised $16,500 for the Teramana Cancer Center T.E.A.R. Fund. The 2022 St. Patrick's Run Walk was dedicated to all cancer survivors and patients undergoing treatment.
Despite the cloudy skies, the threat of rain and low temperatures, more than 350 runners and walkers participated in the event. The participants and volunteers turned the otherwise dreary day into one which filled our hearts with sunshine and warmth. Ages of the participants ranged from 1 to 80. Recognition is extended to, Tim Miller, Toronto service director; Police Chief Charlie Daniels, Officer Anthony Moores and Chief Bill Scheel of the Toronto City Fire Department. The Jefferson County Ohio Department of Transportation provided message boards and cones to ensure the course was safe for all participants. The Tri-County Emergency Radio Association, directed by Greg Day, also ensured the safety of the 5K route. Crossroads North River Church and H&R Block provided snacks and water to all participants. Special thanks to our media partners WTOV-TV and WCDK-FM, both of which provided public service announcements for the 5K. The coalition appreciates the business sponsors and the individual sponsors. Thank you for the generosity you provided by way of financial support and also in-kind services.
