Driving in the summer

1 min read

To the Editor,

Okay. Time to plan ahead for those road trips. Pre-planning your destination is essential and time worthy. But watch out for others on the road. Examples are:

1. Talladega By Daylight. Yes, the flash in a vehicle.

2. Crusin. Yup, the ye old I gotta see everything and everyone on the road.

3. Sight Seekers. Kinda relates to the previous mentioned.

4. Me Wanna Be Pretty. Drinking coffee, putting on makeup, talking on your cell phone. Multitasking at its best.

5. I Wanna Read. The Sports Section, the other sections, but cautious driving in the passing lane.

6. I Wanna Know Your Language. Gestures with fingers, arms, and different movement of the mouth. If you can read those lips, you get an A plus for the day.

7. Road Construction. Leave early if you know where these situations occur.

8. Detour. Some drivers will make you take one, thereby making a new access road.

9. I Know Where I Am Going. Okay. Restart. Repeat. And rinse.

10. Let's all be careful out there. Enjoy yourself and be courteous to others.

Happy happy joy joy.
