To the Editor,
We grew up in an era where guys named Dad would play with their young kids when he had the time to. Showing his little ones how to throw rocks in water, how to pitch a ball, or even going to that fishing hole for the first time. Everything was a first to us. But that guy named Dad seemed to know it all.
Family picnics. Traveling to other places to meet and see relatives. Long rides through the countryside. Adventures to places that you have never been before. Your first pony ride. Your first ride on the Little Dipper at Kennywood Park, outside of Pittsburgh Pa.
Family reunions. Your Mom and Dad watching you play your first baseball game. And in a real baseball uniform. Treasured moments.
As we approach Fathers Day, let's remember the fathers that are here…and the fathers who aren't here.
Treasured moments. And in a real baseball uniform.
