To the Editor,
We all have animals as pets one time or another. At my house we have four dogs, and a cat. One of my pets is Sparky, a Bischon Poodle. My wife and I adopted Sparky when he was a mere black and white furball. And so cute.
When we saw him at a local flea market, I just had to hold him. I picked him up, and he crawled into my winter vest. Yes, it was a cold February Saturday afternoon.
And this little pup wanted some warmth.
After much discussion of this little animal, we decided to buy him. Ah the little whimpering was cute in a certain way.
As we entered my wife's car, the names were thrown about. Dodsworth. Marmaduke. Tralfass. Belevdere. Goofy. Pluto. My wife said no to all of those. So Sparky it became the new name for our dog.
Oh, and by the way, he was our best man at our 4th of July 2012 wedding in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. He looked so cute in his tuxedo.
So 10 years later, and three more dogs and a cat, Sparky just loves that attention. And believe me, it does get the attention that he deserves…along with his four companions. A ruff life. With nine lives.
