To the Editor,
Governor Justice's solution to proposition 2 simply creates another layer of bureaucracy in state government. Please explain why we should pay taxes to have the taxes refunded.
Simply eliminate the tax. We do not need more employees in Charleston accomplishing nothing. Anyone who has had to deal with the recent debacle with the DMV computer being down knows Charleston can't do it better.
As far as the billion dollar surplus goes, does is not make sense to replace the antiquated computers that the DMV uses with a newer system?
