To the Editor,
I am a Veteran.
I served my country in the sea, and on the shore.
I am a Veteran.
Friends of mine have done the same.
We got no glory, nor the fame.
We are Veterans.
You look and find on telephone poles in the area, that we as one, kept you country from coming undone.
We are the Veterans.
Come to think of the homeless and starving Veterans… wouldn't it be nice for a group of folks to purchase one of our empty buildings in our area, and turn it into a place for shelter. For food. For showers, washers and dryers.
And education from retired teachers, doctors, nurses, laborers, lawyers, ministers.
Yes folks. If this could be done to help those Veterans who are so needy, it would be a blessing. A blessing for all who would volunteer their time to make this statement a reality.
They are Veterans.
And so….am I.
