To the Editor,
With the advance of old age, many are afflicted with memory loss and an ability to confront problems, mostly of an everyday involvement.
Such individuals merit our consideration and our deepest concern for their well-being, and further, our obligation in making their lives meaningful and at peace.
We have all observed President Joe Biden's difficulties in making a coherent speech, and his seemingly being at loss when exiting the stage. When in concert with a visiting head of state, he appears hesitant of finding his proper place on the platform as he tentatively moves about. Yet he manifests benevolence as apparent in his composed features and radiant smile.
As well-meaning as our president is, salient concerns of our nation's security confront us. China's posturing toward Taiwan has become more evident, indicative of an invasion of that sovereignty by military force. There is question in the minds of many whether Russia's invasion of Ukraine would have transpired had Trump been elected in 2020. And would the present conflict in the Gaza strip have otherwise taken place?
It's time for Gentle Joe to go. Biden merits peace and tranquility in his advancing age. Hopefully, suitable asylum can be found for this well-intentioned man.
