Democrats know how to make good ice cream. There is no doubt about it.
Just the other day I mused over a broad selection of ice cream at a major grocery outlet. Previously content with a lower-priced brand, I thought maybe this time I'd try something pricier.
Oh my gosh, there it was, the priciest brand in the freezer featuring a broad variety of flavors. Cherries, cookies and salt caramel were available from the wide assortment. I settled for some salt caramel.
Man, was that ice cream ever good. Who is responsible for this delectable creation I wondered?
Right there on the carton were the names of two gentlemen. I had to find out more about these guys. Sure enough, they're the creators of this brand. Curious of their background, it turned out both are outspoken liberal Democrats of an ultra-left persuasion, and both strong advocates for social justice. Good.
Their enterprise, however, was ultimately sold to a British firm, but as I've been told, the original superb quality of the product has remained unchanged.
Sadly, the dollars in my pocket are only worth 80 percent of what they were four years ago, maybe not even that much, which makes that ice cream less affordable.
Who is responsible for this inflation of our currency? And does a current inflation rate of about 3 percent make the 20 percent already tacked on during the past three years go away?
It is none other than Joe Biden and his administration who are guilty of rampant spending, while our southern border is being flooded with illegal immigrants, and whose presence in the United States punitively costs the taxpayer for their upkeep. And we've all witnessed the ignominious withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan. Plus, we're now witnessing turmoil in Gaza while the sovereignty of Ukraine hangs in balance. On and on it goes. Well maybe if we can somehow placate Benjamin Netanyahu everything will be fine and there'll be no more trouble in the Middle East in the future.
Can we expect even more problems should we endure four more years of Biden, our ice-cream-cone-licking president? I submit we will.
Phooey on those lousy Democrat policies. But give me some more of that Democrat ice cream.
