went directly into the tin mill at $12 a day.
Ten thousand employees
What went wrong?
Out on the old mill floor
Tin plate came
newspaper thin
running at 1,700 feet a minute
Became a supervisor's bad dream
Four tin lines running
Number five line's down
Number six line is up and down
Quality been bad
Boss Tony prayed, please Lord no more
Seventy years later
A state of the art tin line
is the only thing
that can save tin production
and a new mill in 2024.
