25-Year Club picnic a success

To the Editor,

The Weirton Steel 25-Year Club held its annual picnic on July 12. Thanks to hard work, it was a success. We would like to thank our sponsors who made it happen:

First Choice America Community Federal Credit Union; Tudor’s Biscuit World; Hancock County Savings Bank; USW Local 2911; Brooke-Hancock Central AFL-CIO; Randy Skiles; Hauser’s Furniture; R.S. Saxon Jeweler; Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home; Mario’s Restaurant; Total Equipment; Follansbee McDonald’s; Holiday Inn; Wash-Rite Car Wash; Wine and Beverage Merchants of West Virginia; Gus’s Goodies; James White Construction; Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union; Dunkin Donuts; M&M True Value Hardware; Frank’s Catering; Millimia Jewelry Boutique; Homeland Firearms; John Porco; Mountaineer Casino, Resort and Races; Dee Jay’s Restaurant; Fairfield Inn; Newbrough Photo; Basil’s Sports Bar; Ted’s Pharmacy; Sparkle Market; and Shop ‘n Save.

Our apologies if anybody was missed.

Many thanks to the staff at the Serbian Picnic Grounds, who have worked with us in the past and have always treated us great.

Thanks to the Herald-Star, The Weirton Daily Times and WTOV-TV for the coverage given us.

Thanks to the entire 25-Year Club committee. These men and women work tirelessly every year, all year long, to put on this picnic. Their only reward is seeing more than 500 of their fellow co-workers enjoying good food and good fellowship during a summer afternoon.

God bless, and thank you all.

Ron Baker

President,

25-Year Club
