MARTINS FERRY -- The Edison girls basketball team fell to Martins Ferry, 91-32, on Thursday.
Alysea Fiedorczyk led the Wildcats with 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Savanna Ankrom and Olivia Huff had seven points apiece.
Richella Spielvogel led the Purple Riders with 24 points.
Edison travels to Cambridge on Monday.

NEW MANCHESTER -- Beaver Local's girls basketball team got 38 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and three steals from Jenna Riccardo to lead the Beavers to a 61-51 win over Oak Glen on Thursday.
Madison Cline added 16 points and five rebounds for the Beavers (9-7), who needed this win to stay in the hunt for qualification for the OVAC Class 4A tournament.
Oak Glen fell to 7-7.
Alexa Andrews tallied 17 points for the Bears (7-7), while Reece Enochs added 10 points.
Oak Glen will try to make a late push to qualify for the OVAC Class 4A tournament with a home game against Weir on Saturday and a home game against Brooke on Monday.
Monday is the cutoff for tournament qualification.
Beaver Local will play Martins Ferry on Saturday in the Buckeye 8 tournament but that game will not count in the OVAC standings since it's the third meeting for the teams. The Beavers also have a game at Sandy Valley on Monday.
As of Sunday, Beaver Local was fourth in Class 4A with Oak Glen fifth.
Oak Glen won the jayvee game, 34-30. Makayla Zoellers had six points for the Bears. Jordan Palmer had 15 points for Beaver.
