Senior Ryan Gorman, who started at quarterback for Catholic Central during the past two seasons, signed his letter of intent Tuesday to continue his academic and football careers at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea. Playing his first season of varsity football as a junior, Gorman threw for more than 700 yards and four touchdowns before missing the final three games with an injury. During his senior campaign, he compiled 961 passing yards and six scores. He also rushed for 485 yards and another seven six-pointers. Gorman, who also excels at basketball and baseball for the Crusaders, was a second-team All-Eastern District Division VII selection. At BW, he will major in sports management. Joining him during signing day ceremonies were, front, from left father Ted Gorman, mother Michelle Gulan and sister Mikayla Gorman. Standing are Athletic Director Vince Oliver, head coach Anthony Agresta, Principal Thomas Costello and Peter Messer, the school's athletic trainer.
