Post 33 falls in doubleheader with Morgantown

STEUBENVILLE -- The Jefferson County Teramana Post 33 Legion baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at home Saturday.

Post 33 faced Morgantown in both games and dropped 9-2 and 11-4 decisions.

In game one, Ryan Anderson, George Ash and Blake Connelly each had multi-hit games for Jefferson County.

Corey Cottis provided an RBI.

Caesen Sutton started on the mound and took the loss, throwing the first four innings while allowing five runs, three earned, on six hits with four strikeouts and four walks.

Connor Schultz threw the last three, allowing four runs, one earned, on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

In the second game, Post 33 got two RBIs from Ash, while Anderson and Quinn McCoy had multi-hit games. Ash had a triple, and McCoy an RBI.

Caleb Blawut started and took the loss on the hill, allowing eight runs, all earned, on 10 hits with no strikeouts and three walks in 3 2/3 innings. Blake Connelly (1 1/3 innings) and J.T. Thompson (one inning) each worked in relief.
