FAIRMONT -- The Weir High baseball team's season came to an end on Tuesday with a 7-2 loss at Fairmont Senior in the Class AA Region 1, Section 1 Championship.
The Red Riders defeated top-seed North Marion on Monday, 12-3, to reach the final round of the tournament from the loser's bracket and avenge an earlier round loss to the Huskies.
Fairmont Senior advances to face Region 1, Section 2 winner Keyset in the Region 1 Championship Series.
