Ash’s no-no

Former Edison pitcher George Ash threw a no-hitter Friday for the fourth-seeded Wheeling Pioneers during the Ohio Valley Baseball League playoff play-in game against No. 5 Martins Ferry on West Liberty University's Kovalick Field. The Pioneers won 7-0 and will meet top-seeded Moundsville Sunday at 1 p.m. in a best-of-3 semifinal. – Kim North
