Oak Glen ended up defeating Edison in three games in the second match before sweeping Big Red in the today's finale.
"Coach is pleased," Edison (4-6) head coach Leah Eft said. "We took a couple on the chin in the last week. That propelled us to make changes and do what is best for the team.
"The girls stepped up. They executed very well."
Big Red never got on track against the Wildcats or the Golden Bears.
"It was a rough day," first-year Big Red (4-8) head coach Logan Colabella said. "I have to do a better job of making sure our energy is up from the get go."

Also for the victors, Alexandra Ash added 12 points, four aces, one block and eight kills, Hailey Teichman tallied 12 points, four aces and three assists and Pressly Meadows produced two kills, two digs and one block. The Wildcats gained control of the first game and pulled away for a 12-point win to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
"They did what I expected them to do," Eft said.
The visitors kept the momentum going in Game 2 as they raced out to a 9-4 lead forcing Colabella to call a timeout. The lead grew to 11-5, however, Eft called a timeout after Big Red scored the next two points to pull within 11-7.

Playing quality competition will help Big Red down the road.
"I think so," Colabella said. "I have to do a better job of making sure our kids stay even and making sure they don't dig themselves into a slump. We are going to have to continue to grow and get better."
This is Eft's first season back as head coach of Edison. She previously served as an assistant coach and as the head coach of the volleyball team. Eft was a three-sport standout during her high school career at Edison. She played volleyball, basketball and softball for the Wildcats.
