Catholic Central gets a road win at Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT -- The Catholic Central boys basketball team opened a big halftime lead and used a big third quarter to put the game away for a 54-27 road win at Bridgeport on Tuesday.
The Crusaders opened a 30-13 lead at the break and scored 20 of its 24 second half points in the third quarter.
Andrew Dorsey led the way for Catholic Central with 14 points, while Benji Rook tallied 12 and Daniel Bolster tallied nine.
Central takes on Toronto next Tuesday.
Huskies top Wildcats
RICHMOND -- Angi Ferri and Danica Rensi each netted 16 points as the Harrison Central girls basketball team topped Edison 69-33 on the road on Monday for win No. 9 on the season.
Emma Fischer (13) and Mackenzue Harbold (10) also reached double digits for the Huskies.
Edison was led by a game-high 18 points from Pam Johnson.
Creek tops the Potters
EAST LIVERPOOL -- Indian Creek's girls basketball team won on the road at East Liverpool on Monday, 49-27.
Tori Robertson netted netted 15 points and Kylie Anderson finished with 11.
