Big Red head baseball coach Fred Heatherington speaks to school and city officials, boosters and supporters gathered during a ceremony dedicating the baseball field at the new Crimson Complex on Wednesday. Heatherington said he calls the field "The Players' Field" in honor of the many players that have been a part of the program in its more than 100-year history. Big Red Principal Ted Gorman and Steubenville City Schools Superintendant Melinda Young also spoke at the event, while Glory Dami sang the national anthem. Big Red is in the midst of its first season on the new turf field. A similar ceremony was held on Tuesday for dedicate the softball field at the complex. – Andrew Grimm
