Miller named baseball coach at Madonna

WEIRTON — T.J. Miller has been hired as Madonna’s baseball coach, the school announced Tuesday. .

Miller, who replaces Jeff Baire, comes to Madonna with 13 years of baseball coaching experience. He coached Oak Glen from 2017-19.

Miller has also been an assistant coach for nine years and jayvee coach for Oak Glen for four years. Most recently, Miller was an assistant wrestling coach at Beaver Local High School.

He had been with the program for nine years and received OVAC Assistant Coach of the Year honors. He has also joined the Madonna football staff this year as an assistant coach.

Miller is currently a TSS for Hancock County Schools.

Miller has volunteered as a coach for a 10U travel team made up of local players with the Ohio Valley Youth Baseball Association and coached within the Jefferson County Elite travel baseball organization.

“Coach Miller brings many years of experience to our coaching staff and will do all he can to uphold the standards we have for our student-athletes while continuing to build our program,” Philip Rujak, principal of Madonna High School, said in a press release from the school.

Miller has a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration: Computer information systems and business information systems from West Liberty University and a master’s degree in internet information systems from Robert Morris University.
