Big Red baseball was well represented on Wednesday night when Kent State hosted Malone University for a fall ball exhibition at Schoonover Stadium with a combined five Steubenville grads on the teams. Reuniting at the game were, from left, Big Red assistant baseball coach Darin Heatherington, Malone's J.T. Thompson and Caesen Sutton, Kent State's Calvin Bickerstaff, Big Red head baseball coach Fred Heatherington and Malone's Clayton Criss and Zach Smith. The Golden Flashes won the exhibition 6-0. Bickerstaff was Kent State's starting pitcher and was credited with the win, striking out two in one inning of work. Criss had a base hit and a stolen base for the Pioneers, while Sutton struck out one in a scoreless one inning relief appearance. – Contributed
