Creek girls open with a big win on the road
NEW PHILADELPHIA -- The Indian Creek girls basketball started its season with a big road win at New Philadelphia on Monday night, 48-31.
Three players scored in double figures for coach Steve Eft's club. Tori Robertson tallied 16 points, McKenna Scott recorded 14 and Kylie Anderson 12.
The Redskins open the home portion of the schedule on Thursday hosting Big Red.
Panthers start 2-0
CONNORVILLE -- Don't look now, but the Buckeye Local girls are off to a 2-0 start in girls' basketball action.
Monday night inside the Panthers' Den, the hosts defeated Harrison Central, 54-33.
Brynn McKeever poured in 18 points, which was one more than teammate Pam Kandrach. McKeever drained a trio of treys while Kandrach knocked down eight of 10 free throws. Maddy Roset added eight markers.
Maddie Sedgmer paced the Huskies with nine points. Mikayla Pelegreen chipped in seven.
