Madonna girls even record with win over Magnolia
WEIRTON -- The Madonna girls basketball team won it's second-straight game at home on Saturday afternoon to even its record at 2-2, topping visiting Magnolia 50-29.
Junior Christany Bartley had another big night for the Blue Dons, racking up 26 points, while Freshman Maddi Owens finished with 18 points.
Owens connected three times from beyond the arc in the victory.
The Blue Dons are back at home on Monday looking to make it three-in-a-row when they host Edison.
Good showing for Weir swimmers
WHEELING -- The Weir High boys and girls swimming teams placed third overall in Saturday's St. Clairsville Jingle Bell Invite.
In the process, multiple Red Rider swimmers set person records.
They were Jamie Bissett in the 100 breaststoke and 200 freestyle. Ellie Totten in the 100 fly and 100 backstroke, the boys 200 freestyle relay team and Kaydence Cain in the 200 IM.
