Madonna boys get a win over visiting Valley, 64-49
WEIRTON — The Madonna boys basketball team topped visiting sectional opponent Valley on Thursday, 64-49, inside the Dube Dome.
Leading the way for the Blue Dons were Anthony Mascio and Luca Muzzi, who each netted 18 points, while Chase Littleton finished with 13.
Madonna improves to 3-2 and takes on Frontier today in the Todd Kalivoda Holiday Showcase at Toronto.
Edison tames Tigers
RICHMOND — Rebecka Evans had 19 points as Edison topped Wellsville 61-51 on Thursday.
Abigail Boka added 14 points for the Wildcats.
Edison is 6-4.
For Wellsville, Bella Poppelriter had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Myleigh Jackson added four assists.
Wellsville fell to 5-5 and is at Malvern on Saturday.
Huskies get first win
CADIZ — The Harrison Central girls basektball team topped visiting Cambridge, 47-31, Thursday night at home.
The win is the first of the season for the Huskies.
Leading the way was Angi Ferri, who connected for three triples in the first quarter and finished with 14 points.
Kara Blackburn followed netting 12 points for Harrison Central, who takes on Buckeye Trail on Saturday.
