Indian Creek boys get a win at home over Beaver Local

WINTERSVILLE -- The Indian Creek boys basketball team came out of the holiday break with a victory over visiting Beaver Local on Tuesday night, 63-52, on Coach D Court.

Creek was led by a 20-point performance from Caleb Bodo, while Mason Lester also reach double digits with 13 points.

Creek out-scored the Beavers in the first three quarters to build the advantage.

The Redskins, now 2-4, travel to Buckeye Local tonight.

Crusaders top Bulldogs

BRIDGEPORT -- The Catholic Central boys basketball team earned a season sweep of Bridgeport on Tuesday, going on the road and knocking off the Bulldogs 64-44 for their second win against them this season.

The Crusaders are now 5-5.

Benji Rook led the way with 24 points, while Daniel Bolster and Tommy Pergi each netted 13.

Central takes on Oak Glen on Friday.

Oak Glen falls

WELLSVILLE -- The Wellsville boys basketball team went on a 17-4 run early as it topped Oak Glen 56-38 on Tuesday.

Wellsville was led by Tyrell Watkins with 21 points, 23 rebounds and seven assists, while Elijah Douglas had 12 points, four rebounds and three assists. Richie Dowling had 11 points six rebounds and three steals for the Tigers.

Oak Glen was led by AJ Ramgeet with 20 points.

Oak Glen is 2-5 and will host Catholic Central on Friday.

Edison tops Southern

RICHMOND -- The Edison boys basketball team picked up a win over visiting Southern Local on Tuesday, 71-45.

JD Henderson led Edison with 27 points, Kyle Long followed with 14 and Dawson Jones had 12.

The Wildcats travel to Bridgeport on Friday.
