WARSAW -- The Big Red boys basketball team bounced back on Friday with a big road win at River View.
Steubenville, now 7-7, out-scored the hosts in each of the first three quarters on the way to a 62-49 win.
Big Red was led by Santino Haney's 19 points, followed closely by Keith Lewis' 18 tallies, while Ky'Leigh Hopkins netted 12.
Big Red had a big night at the foul line going 15 of 22.
Steunenvlle will host St. Clairsville on Tuesday.
Oak Glen gets a sweep of Madonna
NEW MANCHESTER -- The Oak Glen boys basketball team earned a season sweep of Hancock County foe Madonna on Friday night, rolling to a 61-41 win over the Blue Dons at home.
Oak Glen won the first meeting 65-50 back in the second game of the season.
The Golden Bears opened a 40-24 lead at halftime before using a 21-point fourth quarter to pull away even further.
Preston Cole led the Golden Bears with 22 points, while AJ Ramgeet tallied 18.
For Madonna, Luca Muzzi tallked 13.
Madonna girls win on senior night
WEIRTON -- The Madonna girls basketball team got a senior night victory over visiting Clay-Battelle on Thursday evening, 43-38.
Christany Bartley led the Blue Dons with 16 points, while Rylee Birkhimer netted 11 to put two in double digits.
The Blue Dons recognized Mia Pietranton, who tallied three points, and injured senior Ella Wingett, who is serving as a manger while hurt.
