Edison tops Cambridge
RICHMOND -- The Edison softball team plated eight-straight runs Wednesday to earn an 8-3 victory over visiting Cambridge to bounce back from its OVAC tournament loss a night earlier.
Rebecka Evans was 3 for 4 with a double, Ashlyn Pinkerton was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Pressly Meadows doubled in two runs and Sophia Henderson had two hits and an RBI.
Meadows fanned nine in a complete game victory in the circle.
Huskies blank Bellaire
BELLAIRE -- The Harrison Central softball team went on the road and shutout Bellaire, 14-0, in five innings on Wednesday.
The Huskies got two doubles and two RBIs from Mikayla Pelegreen, three hits, two doubles and four RBIs from Isabel Yeager and a single, double and three RBIs from Bailey Smith.
Emma Skinner recorded eight strikeouts in the circle.
Oak Glen falls at Park
WHEELING -- The Oak Glen softball team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road at Wheeling Park on Wednesday.
Maddy Murray had three hits for the Golden Bears, while Danica Holden struck out four in the circle.

Madonna pulls away from CV
WEIRTON -- The Madonna baseball team scored the first 15 runs of the game on the way to a 15-1 win over visiting Conotton Valley on Wednesday at Bowman Field.
David Connors had a home run, single and three RBIs, Grant Wilharm homered and drove in a pair of runs, Matt Geer was a third Blue Don to go yard in the game, also hitting a single and tallying three RBIs and Koleton Grishkevich had two doubles, a single and two RBIs while Jacob Lazear doubled and drove in three runs as well.
Connors struck out five in three innings on the mound.
