Brooke Bruins hire a new head football coach
WELLSBURG — The Brooke Bruins have a new football coach.
The Brooke County Board of Education approved Casey Goff as the Bruins new grid boss at Monday’s meeting.
The team announced the hiring on its X account Monday night.
Goff has spent the past seven seasons as the head coach of the College of New Jersey, a Division III college program that competes in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
During his tenure, TCNJ went 20-38.
He has an overall collegiate coaching record of 25-43, including one season guiding Defiance University.
He also had a three-year college playing career at Susquehanna University.
Goff replaces Mac McLean, who stepped down earlier this year. McLean was hired as Shenandoah’s football coach last month.
McLean guided the Bruins, his alma mater, for the past 10 seasons.
The Bruins were 5-5 this past season.
